On October 25, 2018, the 5th International Conference on Fibroblast Growth Factors & International Symposium on Growth Factors in Disease and Therapy was held in Wenzhou, sponsored by Wenzhou Medical University and jointly organized by Translational Medicine Committee of the Chinese Society of Biotechnology and School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Wenzhou Medical University. Academician Yang Baofeng, Academician Wang Rui, President Li Xiaokun and well-known experts and scholars from home and abroad attended the conference.

 At the conference, well-known experts and scholars from universities and research institutes in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Canada and Australia delivered 19 high-level academic reports, mainly focusing on the latest research progress in the molecular mechanism of FGFs/FGFRs in the occurrence and development of diseases such as Alzheimer’s Disease, diabetes and its complications and ischemic stroke, and reporting the latest scientific research achievements of growth factors in many hotspots of life science, such as inflammation, tissue repair, structural biology, medicinal development, cell metabolism, molecular design, genetic engineering optimization and bone development, etc.
